This means he is out of the Commonwealth Games Squad. With Soumyajit not there, India’s chances of winning a medal has decreased. From 4th to 15th April this tournament will be held in Australia’s Gold Coast. Last Wednesday, the victim, a local of Barasat went with her father to register a complaint against Soumyajit Ghosh at the Barasat PS. Soumyajit has been accused under Section 376,417,513,120 B besides POSCO act. Today evening, TTFI’s President Mr. M. P. Singh told Xtra Time, “ Soumyajit’s ex girlfriend has raised complains of rape, under age sex and abortion against him. That’s why our executive committee took this decision. Until we get any notice from court or the police, this suspension will stay. During this ban, Soumyajit cannot participate in any national or international tournament. Thus he can’t play the CWG. In his place, we have taken Sanil Shetty. “ To solve Soumyajit’s case, a 5 member committee was formed. Besides President M. P. Singh, this committee had G Sathiyan, A Sarath Kamal, Anthony Amolraj and Harmeet Desai. They did a video conference today and took this decision. Soumyajit Ghosh after hearing about his ban is heartbroken. From Germany he said, “ Initially the girl tried blackmailing me, but couldn’t. Now she did this right before the Commonwealth Games to ruin me. So that my career gets spoilt. Nothing can be more disheartening. “
