BCCILOGO Internet Desk: Failing to provide a valid reason for the allegations of his conflict of interest, Dr MV Sridhar has resigned as the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) General Manager (cricket operations) with effect from September 30. Sridhar's resignation was accepted by the Supreme Court-appointed Committee of Administrators (CoA) during its meeting in Mumbai on Thursday. The cricket operations of the BCCI will now looked after by the CEO Rahul Johri. The CEO will address the discussion on the revised structure of cricket operations department at the Cricket Centre on Friday. Sridhar, was under pressure after failing to disclose the facts about his ownership of clubs in the jurisdiction of the Hyderabad Cricket Association (HCA). The disclosure was a part of an exercise undertaken by the CoA to start implementing the conflict of interest-related guidelines among BCCI employees. The former HCA secretary before being appointed in his role by former BCCI chief N. Srinivasan, did not disclose his ownership of six clubs was brought to the notice of the CoA by former HCA president and India off-spinner Arshad Ayub. The BCCI in a statement said: The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) would like to inform that Dr M.V. Sridhar, General Manager - Cricket Operations, has decided to move on with effect from Saturday, 30th September 2017.
