The famous goalkeeper helped both the giants of Kolkata football a lot of sweet memories. His goalkeeping in the IFA Shield and Calcutta Football League got a lot of appreciations from the ardent fans of East Bengal & Mohun Bagan.

The legendary goalkeeper leaves his married girl and son-in-law and grandson before leaving the planet. His dead body was first taken to the Veteran's Club and then was taken to the East Bengal Club. Then the dead body went for its final destination at the Keoratola Burning Ghat.
The Goalkeeper represented Bengal thrice in the Santosh Trophy and won multiple Calcutta Football League and IFA Shield trophies for East Bengal. Abani Bose led his district Nadia to win the West Bengal District Football Championships as well. His death has certainly shaken the football community of Kolkata.
