Earlier the meeting was supposed to happen on July 7, but Jay Shah, a member of the committee said that he won’t be available on that day after that the committee has rescheduled the meeting on July 8. According to the reports the committee is all set to implement the Supreme Court’s orders. The apex court gave a judgment to the BCCI on July 18, 2016, that the BCCI have to implement the Lodha committee recommendations as early as possible. But despite the orders BCCI failed to implement the recommendations on January 2017. On January 30, the apex court appointed a four-member committee of administrators (CoA) headed by Vinod Rai to look after the matters until Lodha committee recommendations were implemented. Till now, there has been no positive measures taken by the BCCI to implement the reforms. During BCCI’s recently concluded SGM on June 26, all the state associations failed to adopt the recommendations despite it was on top of the meeting’s agenda. As per reports the CoA thinks that the state associations would only accept the reforms if the Supreme Court give an order to enforce these reforms directly. Supreme Court will hear the case again on July 14 and before that the board put together a seven-member committee during the SGM to discuss on few agendas of Lodha recommendations which were being turned down by the state associations. The seven-member committee comprising the likes of IPL Chairman Rajeev Shukla. Former India skipper Sourav Ganguly were all set to meet on July 7 to "identify the few critical points in respect of the said judgment for the General Body of the BCCI to consider before its submission to the Honourable Supreme Court". The next SGM will take place on July 12, just a couple of days before the next Supreme Court hearing. It is the final call for BCCI to implement the Lodha reforms, which has been violating the rules and time limits given by the apex court for quite some time.
