BCCI (1) Internet Desk: The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) officials may soon see a massive slash in their daily allowances on foreign tours. The BCCI officials have been receiving $750 (INR 48000) as daily allowances on foreign tours, which is way above what the cricketers have been getting. The Indian cricketers on foreign tours used to get only $125 (INR 8000). So the obvious question has been raised about the massive difference in the daily allowances for the board officials and cricketers on foreign tours. Even state association representatives, who travel for special tournaments outside India, are paid $500 (Rs 32000 approx) per day. It was decided that the board officials travelling with the Indian team for the Champions Trophy will be paid £500 (Rs 41500 approx) while the players will get £125 (Rs 10300 approx) per day. The Indian cricket team will be flying to England on May 25 to take part in the ICC Champions Trophy. Mr Kapil Malhotra of Cricket Club of India has been appointed as the manager of the Indian team. The Indian team led by Virat Kohli will play two warm up matches against Bangladesh (May 28) and New Zealand (May 30) at the Oval, before taking on arch rivals Pakistan on June 04 at Edgbaston in Birmingham. The hike in the officials' DA from $500 to $750 came two years ago. Besides DA, they are also entitled for first class air travel. The obvious question that strikes now is how can the officials not come under the purview of holding an office of profit after charging so much money from the Board?
