Ugres everyone to make a bold move in life

cl_virat1 Internet Desk: Virat Kohli’s mantra for the New Year 2017 is to follow his own instincts and make his own choices. The Indian test captain represents the new mindset of modern India. He has attitude, fashion and aggression to appeal the cricket crazy masses in the country. His ability to pull India out of crisis situation is attributed to his mental toughness.

His biggest USP is his ability to take things as it comes that has made him a champion performer.

In an open letter the 28 year old cricketer shared his mantra for the New Year.

“Somehow, people believe I know exactly what I am doing, that I know for sure how my decisions are going to turn out. And given the recent success on the pitch, that belief is now probably sweeping the nation.

But here’s the truth: I don’t.

When I am about to make a decision that goes against convention. I don’t know if it’s all going to turn out fine. I don’t know if I am going to succeed. I really don’t.

But what I do know is, no matter how scary it may seem; when the time comes, I have got to make the bold move. I have to set my fears aside and take the plunge. Like at the Adelaide test, exactly 2 years ago. Instead of setting for a draw against the Australians, we pushed for a win. And lost. We could have changed history that day, but we didn’t. But do I regret making that move?  Not one bit. In fact I would do exactly the same thing all over again if I had to. And not just in cricket. Because trust me, there is only one thing worse than living with the consequences of making a bold move; the regret of not making one.

So here is my mantra for the New Year: I will do what I have always done- follow my instincts and make my own choices….kyunki, kise pata kal hum kaun si manzil, kaun se mukaam paayenge? Par ek baat zaroor hai – agar bold nahin khelenge , toh kabhi na jaan paayenge.

He has urged everyone to make a bold move in their life if they are to taste success.

The Indian captain is truly the face of modern India. His fascination for tattoos, wearing stylish clothes and driving modern sports cars only establishes his image as a cult figure among the youths. But that does not shift his focus from being an improved cricketer with each day.

Kohli’s philosophy of life is to "not get carried away with the bigger picture."
