Image Source: CST[/caption] Kolkata: Bhupendra Kumar Dey, a Senior member of CAB who was associated with the CAB from 1970 on behalf of Central Calcutta Sporting Club left for heavenly abode today at 8:00 p.m. at the age of 85 years by Heart attack at his own residence in Kolkata. He is survived by his two sons and one daughter. He adorned as a member of both Working Committee and various Sub-Committees of CAB . Late Dey had a long association with various Sports’ Body in Kolkata Maidan. Not only Cricket, Late Dey was a known face in the Football fraternity. He had a rich contribution to get rid the IFA from match fixing and took a lead role. He was a member of IFA’s Governing Body for long years and served as Acting President after expiring of the then President, Hemanta Dey. He was Chairman of Probe Committee of IFA investigating match fixing and through his strong leadership, able guidance IFA got rid from match fixing allegation. He was Advocate of Hon’ble Supreme Court of India by profession and associated with various social works. His dedication to social works accolade by all. He had associated with various social organization in Central Kolkata. In addition, he was pioneer of “The Refuge”, a Century Old Orphanage and it became a famous Orphanage House in Kolkata  under his guidance. He was a good human being. The Body of Late Bhupendra Kumar Dey will be brought to on CAB on 21 July at 5:00 p.m. to pay last respect to him by all.
