Image Source: twitter[/caption] Internet Desk: Will former Team India director Ravi Shastri be present in person in Mumbai on July 10 to give his interview to the Cricket Advisory Committee? There is a possibility that the former India captain might not turn up in front of the Committee led by Sourav Ganguly like last time. Shastri who is now in London is expected to be back in India by the third week of July. That means there is a possibility of the former India captain missing the interview date again. The BCCI has said the new coach will travel to Sri Lanka which starts from the last week of July. They have asked the applicants to be available for interview in person or via video conferencing in the week after the last date. But the big question will Ganguly accept taking the interview of the former Team Director via video conferencing. The former India captain had an infamous fall-out with Shastri during last year’s interview process when the former Team Director accused the former skipper of not being present during his interview via video conference. A livid Ganguly had then said that if Shastri was so serious about the job, he should have appeared in person rather than appearing via video conference while holidaying in Bangkok. The BCCI also finds them in a sticky wicket as some of the coaches who had initially applied are not happy with the BCCI move. In fact, Virender Sehwag had to be convinced by some of the Board members to apply for the position. And now with Shastri applying for the post of the coach, it goes to be seen whether he will be preferred over Sehwag. The odds are heavily in favour of Shastri though as it is now an open secret that Virat Kohli wants him back at the helm. Among others to apply for the job are Sehwag, Tom Moody and Lalchand Rajput. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OcKchsNKiKA&t=4s
