Will Arjun Tendulkar finally get a chance to play for MI in their last IPL 2022 fixture against Delhi Capitals ?

Xtra Time Web Desk: Will Arjun Tendulkar finally get a chance to play for MI in their final fixture of the season against Delhi Capitals on May 21? With Mumbai Indians already failing to make it to the IPL 2022 PlayOffs, will Arjun make the cut in the Playing XI against DC?

Arjun, who is the son of legendary Sachin Tendulkar has been around with the MI squad for last two seasons but is yet to get an opportunity to play for the franchise. It is a bit weird to see a franchise who have always backed youngsters over the years could not find an opportunity for the teen left arm medium pacer.

Mumbai has given opportunities to youngsters like Dewald Brevis, Tilak Varma, Hrithik Shokeen in the ongoing edition of the cash rich league. The franchise has given opportunities to almost everyone in the squad except Arjun.

Mumbai have tried several left-arm seamers in the ongoing season. Except for Daniel Sams none of the other left arm seamers like Tymal Mills and Jaydev Unadkat have been impressive.

So why isn’t Arjun getting an opportunity to play for Mumbai Indians despite being with the squad for last two seasons. Is he not talented enough to represent the most successful franchise?

There will be obvious ramifications of playing Arjun, because he is the son of Sachin Tendukar. There would be obvious tongue-wagging if he is played, and even more so if he didn’t succeed.

Arjun Tendulkar carries the burden of a big name, so naturally a lot of focus will be on him, whenever he takes the field. Will he grab the opportunity or not, only time will tell?
