Kolkata: In the absence of Mohun Bagan skipper Sony Norde, Yuta Kinowaki their arch-rival East Bengal were the hot favorites to win the Kolkata derby today at the Salt Lake Stadium, but Bagan’s star foreigner Dipanda Dicka absorbed all the lime light today with two brilliant goals as East Bengal lost the match by 2-0 and it has almost dashed all their title winning hopes after 14 long years.

After the loss the Red & Gold coach Khalid Jamil took all the blame on himself for this heartbreaking loss.” I want to take all the blame for the team’s loss. I have failed to prepare my team well and that’s why all the fault is mine,” said Khalid at the post match press-conference.

His comments sparked controversies in the press-meet where he said that he shouldn’t have heard every ones advice.” I should have listen to myself from the start of the season and don’t listen to the others.” But he didn’t take the name of anyone and ended the press-conference.

On being asked why he didn’t use Ralte in place of Surabuddin Mollick, Khalid said,” That was my fault and I admit that too, but I am not leaving my job. I am not that type of a person who runs away from danger, but if the officials feel I shouldn’t continue I will leave my chair.” Though the hopes of winning the I-League is almost over for the Red & Gold Brigade Khalid don’t want to blame any player of the side.
