Kolkata: With the rehabilitation over, star Olympian Dipa Karmakar is all set to be back in training. The star gymnast is set to join the training camp in Delhi’s Indira Gandhi Indoor Stadium for the upcoming Commonwealth Games.
“My rehabilitation is over, I have started my training on December 1 and will be joining the camp at Delhi on the 11th” said Dipa today when she was felicitated by a college in Kolkata.
the 2016 Rio Olympics saw Dipa missing the bronze medal by a whisker as she ended up in the fourth place. Dipa also is the first female gymnast to represent India in the Olympics.
Dipa suffered an injury during the India camp and under went a surgery in her ankle during April. After a long period of rehabilitation she has started her practice in full spite.
