XtraTime Web Desk: Ace Indian speedster Mohammed Shami’s lawyer Salim Rahaman completely nullified the reports that Shami has been issued an arrest warrant in the domestic violence case by the Additional Chief Judicial Magistrate Court, Alipore.
Shami despite showing the mentality of steel to the outer world, is not at all in a happy mental state as the issue has been lingering for more than a year right now. Though he has made up his mind that he would see the end of it now. As per people close to him, Shami still feels crestfallen for his daughter but he has no mercy for his wife.

About the ‘reported’ arrest warrant against his client, Shami’s lawyer, his client is not absconding. Shami is a national player and representing the country. He can be identified at any time. Why would he run away? People have misinterpreted the warrant. The order clearly says that Shami has to surrender within 15 days of his return. Shami’s lawyer will take appropriate legal steps when he will arrive.
The right-arm fast bowler had his 29th birthday on Tuesday. As per Shaun’s lawyer, an arrest warrant can be effective only if he does not turn up 15 days after his return but they are sure that situation will not arise. He appeared twice before the police in Kolkata and there is no reason why he would not cooperate in the proceedings.
