But the KSCA colts got 3 points due to their first innings lead and Bengal had to be happy with just 1 point. In the first innings Bengal posted a massive total of 426 runs on the board but the KSCA colts replied with a great intent as they scored 429 runs in reply and took the most important lead of 3 runs in the first innings. Nischal (101) and Suneel Raju (142) were the star of the match as they helped their side to cross Bengal’s total. Though Bengal skipper Sudip Chatterjee was happy with his team’s performance,” This is a young side. It was a close match as they just took the two runs lead. It was overall a good effort by the lads,” said Sudip. Last year Bengal was the Champion of the tournament.
