“Well you’ve decided it’s my last.”: MS Dhoni quashes rumours about retirement after this season | IPL 2023

Xtra Time Web Desk: Chennai Super Kings’ talismanic captain MS Dhoni on Wednesday dropped a major hint that he would not like to call it a day after IPL 2023. During an interaction with commentator Danny Morrison at the toss before the game against Lucknow Super Giants, Dhoni gave a befitting reply on being asked how he is enjoying his swansong tour which is his last. According to Dhoni, he never said it would be his last season.

The former Kiwi cricketer turned commentator asked Dhoni about IPL 2023 being his last season in the competition, the CSK skipper quashed those rumours stating he never said it would be his final season.

“Clearly this wonderful swansong tour, your last, how are you enjoying it?” Danny Morrison asked Dhoni

The CSK skipper wasted no time with his reply, saying, “Well you’ve decided it’s my last.”

Much to joy of the fans, Morrison immediately started announcing to the crowd that Dhoni will continue to play next season, saying, “He is coming back to play next year.”
