XtraTime Web Desk: Indian captain Virat Kohli on Friday said he and his team would like to carry ahead the legacy set by legends of yesteryears. Kohli led the Indian side in its first ever Day/Night test match against Bangladesh at the iconic Eden Gardens.

The 31-year-old feels the current team is just trying to carry the legacy of India legends forward.

"We are fulfilling the responsibility of debuting with the pink ball. After the set of legends we have had, I think it's our responsibility that we are doing right. We are setting the right examples. Proud to have this opportunity to do so," Kohli said at the toss.

Kohli is aware of the challenges the pink ball will present. He added how India isn't much bothered about losing the toss.

"We would have batted first as well. Decent grass covers on it, but it's a hard pitch. With the Pink ball, there will be something for the first 15 overs. This is another opportunity for us to come and execute our skills. The challenge is to adapt quickly to the ball. It travels fast and it's difficult to control."

Batting first after winning the toss, Bangladesh was bowled out for 106 runs with Ishant Sharma picking 5/22 and supported by Umesh Yadav (3/29) and Mohammed Shami (2/36). Shadman Islam top-scored for the visitors with 29 runs.
