Debasis Sen, Sydney: Indian captain Virat Kohli on Tuesday claimed that his team is not feeling any pressure to win its first ever test series on Australian soil. Kohli was speaking at an official function hosted by the Australian Prime Minister Scott Morrison at his residence in Kirribilli.

“Speaking about the Sydney test for us there is no pressure at all. It’s something that we are all looking forward to.

.It’s a historic occasion for both the teams because of the series where it’s placed,” said Kohli on stage.

Talking about playing Australia at their own backward, Kohli feels it poses the biggest challenge for any team coming Down Under.

“Just a little bit on us coming to Australia and playing here I think it presents to us probably the biggest challenge in World Cricket. It is because we not only play against the Australian side as we all know when you step into that stadium and you walk into bat then the whole stadium wants to get you out. And that’s something you are up against.”

The recent contests between India and Australia have always been enthralling. According to the Indian captain, “That’s the greatness of sports culture and cricket culture here. So I just want to tell whatever we have done in first three tests is something that is very special and something that will stay with us for life.”

Speaking on the state of the series, Kohli said, “Regardless the score line I think both the teams will be really proud and happy the way this series have gone. There is like the competition on the field regardless of what the score line says. As a cricketer you know that there are tough situations when you cross that situation and come out of that it will prove you as a person. So I think we all can be very proud of that and we all can look forward to the same in two days time the Sydney Test as well.”
