Was Virat Kohli trying to recreate Joe Root’s bat balancing act during practice game against Leicestershire? | Video

Xtra Time Web Desk: Former India captain Virat Kohli was seen trying to balance his bat like Joe Root during Day 1 of the four-day warm up game against Leicestershire at Uptonsteel ground on Friday. Kohli tried to balance his bat straight at the non-striker’s end. Interestingly, former England captain Joe Root created a huge stir when he successfully balanced his bat did during the first test match against New Zealand at Lords.

Talking about Kohli, he had a decent outing in the four-day warm-up match against Leicestershire on Friday at the Grace Road. He managed to score thirty-three runs in the first innings of the match. He slammed four boundaries and a six during his knock before he was given out by a dubious LBW decision by the on-field umpire.

Kohli will be looking to bounce back to form in the upcoming series. He has last scored a hundred during the Pink Ball Test against Bangladesh at Eden Gardens in November 2019.

Indian fans will be hoping Kohli will recreate the magic that he used to perform consistently until the end of the 2019 and seal a series win for India. The visitors lead the five match series 2-1.
