Xtra Time Web Desk: Was Rohit Sharma playing gully cricket in Worli ahead of travelling to England on June 16? Team India captain Rohit Sharma seems to be reliving his childhood memories as he was seen playing gully cricket in Worli, Mumbai. Rohit along with other test squad members will be travelling to UK for the upcoming tour to England.

In the viral video Rohit was seen enjoying playing gully cricket with friends. He was seen hitting sixes. One of the straight hits travelled a distance. But there is doubts whether the video is actually taken recently or not as a similar video was shared by his wife Ritika during 2018.

Meanwhile India’s travel plan for England tour is finalised. The Indian cricket board has asked Rohit and the other test players to assemble in Mumbai by June 15. All players barring KL Rahul, Shreyas Iyer, and Rishabh Pant will leave for England on June 16. While Rahul is undergoing his rehab at the National Cricket Academy in Bengaluru, Shreyas and Rishabh are currently part of the Indian T20 squad for the ongoing series against South Africa.

All players will have two sets of RT-PCR Covid tests before boarding the flight for England. If anyone tests positive, they will have to wait and serve a mandatory isolation period before leaving for England.

The second batch including head coach Rahul Dravid will leave for London from Bengaluru on June 19. Like last time, families of the players can accompany them but they will also have to clear two RT-PCR tests.
