Xtra Time Web Desk: Star India batter Virat Kohli will join the Indian team on Monday putting rest to speculations going around about his availablity in ODI series decider on Tuesday. Virat did not travel with the team to Port of Spain on Sunday evening. Kohli was not spotted coming down from the team coaches at the Hyatt hotel, where the Indian team is staying. The Indian team checked in around 5pm in the evening. The Indian team are scheduled to have an optional training session at the Queens Park Oval on Monday afternoon. The team management decided to train at the Queens Park Oval as the Brian Lara Stadium is very far from Port of Spain.

As far as the ODI series is concerned, it is evenly poised with both teams winning a match each.  The Men in Blue registered a 5-wicket win in the series opener to take a 1-0 lead at the Kensington Oval in Bridgetown, Barbados on Thursday (July 27), but Shai Hope's bounced back to beat a Hardik Pandy-led Team by 6 wickets at the same venue on Saturday (July 29).

Rohit and Virat Kohli sat out of the match to give opportunity to Axar Patel and Sanju Samson.

The two sides will now clash in the decider at the Brian Lara Stadium Stadium, which will host it's first men's One Day International match, having only hosted a T20I in men's international cricket so far. The only T20I was held in 2022 when India beat West Indies.

The weather forecast for Tuesday (August 1) indicates a couple of morning showers followed by a thunderstorm in few areas in San Fernando in the afternoon
