It was Virat Kohli who led the Indian test team in the unfinished series against England. The Indian team displayed a spirited show in the series, leading 2-1 before the fifth and final test at Old Trafford in Manchester had to be postponed due to Covid-19 scare. Kohli has since relinquished the captaincy as Rohit Sharma will lead the team against Ben Stokes men.

India will play a four day warm up game against Leicestershire starting from June 24.  The fifth and final test match will be played at the Edgbaston ground starting from July 1.
