Virat Kohli creates another record in the ongoing second test against West Indies

XtraTime Web Desk: Indian cricket team captain Virat Kohli has added another feather to his cap on Saturday during the ongoing second test against West Indies on day 2 of the match at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium in Hyderabad.




Kohli scored 45 runs before getting out in the first innings, while doing so he outran former Pakistan skipper Misbah-ul-Haq to become the Asian cricketer who now has most Test as captain after scoring 27 runs in the process.




The India skipper has scored 4233 runs so far in 42 matches at an average of 65.12. In this process he hit 17 hundreds and nine half-century as captain as well.




Earlier in his career Misbah scored 4214 runs as Pakistan captain with a healthy average of 51.39. Overall former South African captain Graeme Smith is at the top of the list with 8659 runs in 109 matches as captain. After him there are Australia’s Allan Border (6623 runs in 93 matches) and Ricky Ponting (6542 in 77 matches).
