Xtra Time Web Desk: Virat Kohli and Anushka Sharma have moved a step further in their contribution to the fight against COVID-19 by donating Ruppes 2 crore to a fund-raising project, which aims to raise a total of Rupees 7 crore to support India in its fight against the COVID pandemic. The money is being raised through a crowd-funding platform called Ketto.

The campaign is scheduled to run for 7 days on the platform and the proceeds are scheduled to go to ACT grants, the partner which will work on providing oxygen, medical support, tele-medicine facilities and spreading vaccination awareness. The couple posted a video on social media to announce their contribution.

“We are going through an unprecedented time in the history of our country and our nation needs all of us to unite and save as many people as possible. Anushka and I have been shocked to see the human suffering since last year,” Kohli said. This is yet another generous move by the Indian Cricket Team Captain and his wife, the Bollywood Superstar, in what is a commendable effort to help the people of the country.
