Xtra Time Web Desk: Team India captain Virat Kohli on Saturday admitted that he has been closely following the transfer news related to Portugal and Juventus superstar Cristiano Ronaldo on google. In an instagram Q&A session, a fan asked Kohli what was the last thing he googled, Kohli’s instant reply was the latest transfer updates on Cristiano Ronaldo. The Juventus star striker is rumoured about a possible return to his former club Manchester United and even a shock move to French giants Paris Saint Germain.

It is no more a secret that the Indian sporting icon is a big fan of Ronaldo. He has always maintained his admiration for the Portugese superstar. In an instagram interaction with India football team captain Sunil Chhetri, Kohli said, “There are many great athletes. There are so many people you look up to, who are amazing, but for a guy to turn up for big games that regularly… The thing that stood out was, he joined Juventus (and) I remember it was a UEFA Champions League match between Juventus and Atletico Madrid match. They lost 2-0 in the first leg. The second leg they were playing at home. For a guy to say two days prior to the game, to tell his friends that come for the game (because) it is going to be a special night.

“That conviction for a guy to say that we are going to go through and score a hat-trick. That for me is a beast mentality. In the world of sport, there are very few people who can claim to have that kind of a mentality. That mental strength for me is inspiring every time.”

Kohli is currently quarantining in Mumbai hotel before leaving for England on June 02 for the upcoming ICC World Test Championship final against New Zealand and the test series against England.
