Vijay Hazare Trophy: Devdutt Padikkal extends his red hot form, first Indian to score 4th consecutive hundred in List A matches

Xtra Time Web Desk: Karnataka opener Devdutt Padikkal is continuing his red hot form in the ongoing Vijay Hazare Trophy this season. The dashing left hander on Monday notched up his 4th consecutive hundred, a 101 off 119 against Kerala in the quarterfinal of the Vijay Hazare Trophy.

He also became the first Indian batsman to smash four consecutive centuries in List A cricket. Former Sri Lanka captain Kumar Sangakkara and ex-South Africa opener Alviro Petersen are the other two batsmen to have got the feat. While these two stars got the landmarks after making a name in international cricket, Devdutt Padikkal, 20, is yet to make his International debut. 

The Royal Challengers Bangalore opener has been in scintillating form with the bat and seems to be going stronger with every outing. The 20-year-old Karnataka batsman had notched his career-best 152 against Odisha and followed it up with 126* versus Kerala and 145* against Railways in their last outing. His 119 ball inn innings against Kerala was decorated with two sixes and 10 boundaries.
