Xtra Time Web Desk: The England football team led by Harry Kane had their final training session ahead of the big EURO 2020 final against Italy at the Wembley stadium on Sunday. Gareth Southgates’s boys had a light workout at the St James Park and it was an open training session. There is a small injury concern for the Three Lions with Manchester City’s Phil Foden taking a minor knock and had to be rested as a precautionary measure.

The other 25 players in Gareth Southgate’s squad trained as normal at St George’s Park. The whole squad of 26 has passed UEFA-mandated PCR coronavirus tests ahead of the game.

Foden, 21, has featured in three matches in the ongoing EURO 2020 so far. He came on as a substitute in extra-time in the 2-1 semi-final win over Denmark, replacing Mason Mount.

England takes on Roberto Mancini’s Italy at Wembley in the final on Sunday where approximately 60,000 supporters will be watching. The supporters of Three Lions will no doubt outnumber the Azzurri fans. Harry Kane and his boys have made it to their first European Championship final after 55 long years. The last time England played in a major final was in the 1966 World Cup final at the same venue. Bobby Moore’s team lifted the Jules Rimet Trophy beating West Germany 4-2 in the final.
