Internet Desk: The Appeals Commission of ISL will announce the verdict on the appeal of FC Goa against ISL Regularity Commission over the fine imposed on FC Goa. Former Chief Justice of Bombay High Court, Kshitij Vyas who is the independent jury member of ISL Appeal’s Commission will pronounce the verdict.

FC Goa keeping the club and fans in mind along with Football Sports Development Authority appealed to the ISL Appeal’s Commission against the judgment imposed on them by the regularity commission. The commission imposed on FC Goa a Rs 11 crore fine, docked them 15 points and banned co-owners Dattaraj Salgaocar and Shrinivas Dempo for three and two years respectively.

Against that FC Goa moved to Appeal’s Commission claiming it as perverse, unlawful and in complete violation of principles of natural justice. They claimed no opportunity was given to cross examine any of the witnesses and no opportunity was afforded to FC Goa to present evidence as to what actually transpired on December 20 last year.

A statement released by ISL said, “Honourable former Chief Justice of Bombay High Court Mr Kshitij Vyas, acting as the independent jury member of the ISL Appeals Panel will pronounce the decision on the appeals made by FSDL & FC Goa next week”. It also added “FSDL in its appeal had represented that the larger interest of the fans of FC Goa and the level playing field for all teams will be affected because of the fine imposed and had requested the Appeals commission for a lenient view on the docking of points.”
