Xtra Time Web Desk : Uttar Pradesh Cricket association has named a strong 24 man squad for the upcoming season of Ranji Trophy with Kuldeep Yadav being named as the captain of the side.
Along with Kuldeep Yadav, young gun Karan Sharma has been named as the vice captain of the team. The side also features youngsters like Priyam Garg and Akshdeep Nath and Rinku Singh as the core of their batting along with Shivam Mavi and Ankit Rajpoot who would form a strong pace line up featuring a mixture of youth and experience.
Apart from the above, Bhuvneshwar Kumar and Saurabh Kumar are also expected to join the squad if they are available.
Uttar Pradesh is placed in Elite Group E along with Baroda, Odisha, Chhattisgarh, and Pondicherry. They will be playing all their matches in Trivandrum and will kick start their campaign against Odisha on January 13.
