Kolkata: Supreme Court accepted most of the recommendations of Lodha Committee today. Former legal advisor of BCCI Ushanath Banerjee however, could not accept the amendment totally. He said in his reaction, “I have a combined reaction. This amendment has good and bad sides both.”

Good reaction on BCCI accountability

Question had been raised over the accountability of BCCI and that question prolonged upto Supreme Court of India. Today Supreme Court has given a right answer to that. The face of BCCI was getting dark due to some dirty people. There is no monitory profit for general mass of India. They only satisfy themselves mentally through this game. Through all these mal-practices some how the soul of the general mass was being deceptive. Through this verdict Supreme Court gave a tough word.

Bad reaction on match fixing verdict

Supreme Court left the matter of match fixing with the Parliament of India. In 90’s Indian cricket was blackened due to match fixing. Supporters lost confident over Indian cricket. Why the process to legalize betting is being done I don’t understand.

Bad reaction on BCCI’s broadcast right

BCCI has been an eye-opener in the income generation process of world cricket. This is the richest cricket body in the world. They have gained this power by their own through the television rights. If the ad breaks are dissolved then the income of BCCI will reduce.

Good reaction on one-state-one-vote

The decision of one-state-one-vote is a good one. There is no question of personal preference over the verdict of Supreme Court. However, lobbyism will rise following this decision. Still all the cricketing bodies will have the associate membership.

Reaction on CAB election followed by Supreme Court verdict

Someone in the CAB feeling problem with the verdict has the right to challenge it. There is no surety of change of the verdict following the challenge. If there is any judicial fault in this verdict only then this verdict can be changed.
