Xtra Time Web Desk : It would be a David vs Goliath clash once again in the second leg of the UEFA Champions League semi finals as giant killers Villarreal faces off favourites Liverpool in at their home stadium in Spain.
Fresh from the 2-0 loss against the Reds, Unai Emery’s Villarreal would face a huge challenge in front of their home crowd of overturning the deficit against Jurgen Klopp’s men in mouth watering clash.
Often known as the ‘ Yellow Submarine’, Villarreal have previously proved themselves as one of the giant killers in Europe, especially after their aggregate 2-1 win over six time champions Bayern Munich.
With a sturdy defence led by Raul Albiol, the Spanish club would be hoping to sit deep and attack on the counter in order to nullify the dangerous front three of Liverpool and also their midfield.
Liverpool on the other hand would be the favourites, relying upon their dynamic trio of Mohamed Salah, Roberto Firmino and Sadio Mane, especially after their 2-0 win over Unai Emery’s men at the Anfield.
However, the clash is expected to be a mega one and the neutrals would be hoping to see Villarreal create some magic out of nothing, although Liverpool are expected to walk through to the final.
