Xtra Time Web Desk : Former India U19 cricketers in Yashasvi Jaiswal and former skipper Priyam Garg who were a part of the team which ended up as runners up in 2020, extended their warm wishes on Friday for the current crop of Indian colts who are in the quest for clinching the country’s fifth U19 World Cup trophy after defeating Australia in the semis.

Sending his best wishes to the Indian Colts, Yashasvi Jaiswal in an interview with The Times of India said, “They have been doing amazing and playing amazing cricket. I am sure they will bring the cup home. I am sure India will beat England and win the World Cup. I want to wish every Indian player the very best, give their 100 percent and win the trophy. It’s the title clash. They have played superbly and entered the final. They have to overcome one more obstacle and the title will be ours. The team needs to focus on every ball, focus on the process. They are capable of doing that because they have been amazing in the tournament. I am supporting this team with all my heart and I am confident that they will win the final,”

“Yash (Dhull) has been phenomenal. Rasheed laid a solid foundation and platform for everyone. It was a wonderful partnership between the two against a top team like Australia. A final hurdle is left. I am sure the boys will cross it with ease,” added the Rajasthan Royals batter.

Also the former skipper Priyam Garg wished Yash Dhull’s Indian Team all the luck and stated, “I am sure India will bring the Cup home. We will see the fifth title for India at the Under19 World Cup. They should be playing the way they have been and should not take any pressure. India will be favourites against England. Yash has batted brilliantly in the tournament. His 100 was crucial in the last match (vs Australia in the semis) and Rasheed was just amazing. He is a talented batsman. Yash will once again play a crucial role in the final. I am confident and 200 percent sure that the cup is coming home.”

The Yash Dhull led Indian side have played brilliant in the tournament so far and would be surely vouching to seal the World Cup trophy when they face England in the finals.
