New Delhi : The Indian U-17 World Cup Squad under Head Coach Nicolai Adam will play two back-to-back exhibition matches against Combined IFA XI and NorthEast XI on January 25 and January 29, 2016 in Kolkata and Guwahati respectively, as part of implementing a foolproof scouting system aimed to scan the demography of India in terms of Footballing talent.

The back-to-back exhibition matches act as a value addition to the already ongoing second phase of scouting, which is being conducted by the All India Football Federation (AIFF) in association with the State Associations.

Talking exclusively to www.the-aiff.com, Abhishek Yadav, AIFF’s Director of Scouting said, “The aim of these matches is to build a fool-proof scouting system and if any Player catches our eye, we will immediately send him for medical tests and rope him into the Indian U-17 World Cup Squad”

“As part of the second phase of scouting, these matches will also help us get a better look of Players from all over India. We are specifically looking for 2000 born kids to play in these exhibition matches”

“We appreciate the efforts of the State Associations and their contribution to the Indian U-17 World Cup Squad”, Yadav added.

The Indian U-17 World Cup Squad had clashed swords against Maharashtra XI on December 21, 2015 and won 8-0, courtesy of goals from Aman Chhetri (4), Komal (2), Saurabh Meher and Abhijit Sarkar in a stellar display of Footballing acumen.
