Kolkata: Trevor James Morgan will sign the contract for East Bengal on Monday. After round of speculations, at last the club officials and Morgan has come to an agreement. Trevor started his second stint as East Bengal at the business end of the last season. He was in charge for East Bengal for the Federation Cup but failed to show a good performance. He went back to Perth, Australia in the first week of May without signing the dotted lines but carried the contract paper with him.

In the meantime, he was admitted to hospital with stomach infection and there was a long delay with his signing. Speculations were that Trevor was unhappy with the amount being given to him. Trevor had a series of discussions with the club officials regarding his contract issues and at last they have to come an solution and it is learnt that he will sign in a one year contract.

According to Trevor Morgan, “Yes, we have to come an agreement and I will sign the dotted lines by Monday. The whole picture will be clear on Monday. After I sign, I will discuss with the officials about the planning for the next season that when shall I begin training, support staff and new players.”

East Bengal football secretary, Santosh Bhattacharya said, “Trevor has the contract paper with him. Now its on him when will he sign. We are signing him on a one year contract.” According to club sources, East Bengal officials will now get into the recruitment of new players and the picture will be crystal clear after Trevor signs as the officials were waiting for his green signal.
