Tremendous show of character : Laxman lauds Covid hit India U19 after a huge 174 run win over Ireland in the U19 World Cup
Xtra Time Web Desk : Legendary former Team India batter and current NCA head VVS Laxman on Thursday lauded the India U19 team for their brilliant performance against Ireland U19 which helped them clinch a 174 run victory over their opponents, despite being severely hit by COVID-19.
After the match, Laxman took to his Twitter to write, "Tremendous show of character and maturity from the U-19 team. With just 11 players available for today's game, to go out and express themselves the way they did was phenomenal. Can't say how proud I am of them! The Ireland match is one they will cherish for life."
Earlier on Wednesday, India U19 thrashed Ireland U19 in their second match of the U19 World Cup campaign to qualify for the Super League Quarter Finals.
In a match in which they barely managed to put a playing XI on the field, the Indian colts scored a huge 307, after being put into bat first by the opponents, courtesy of left-handed Harnoor (88) and Angriksh's (79) 164-run stand at the top.
Brilliant performance by the Indian bowling line up ensured bundling out Ireland to a mere score of 133.

On the other hand, we denounce with righteous indignation and dislike men who are so beguiled and demoralized by the charms of pleasure of the moment
