Transfer News: Mohun Bagan completes another signing for the new season

Kolkata: UEFA A and UEFA A Elite Youth Diploma holder football coach Tomasz Tchórz will be appointed as the assistant coach of Kibu Vicuña for the upcoming season of 2019-20. Tchórz has extensive professional experience in Portugal, Netherlands, Lithuania and England. His prior engagements were in Wisła Płock SA (Poland) and FK Trakai (Lithuania). On both the occasions, he worked with the first team coach Kibu Vicuña.

Tchórz has also worked with youth teams of Wisła Kraków Academy (Poland), CF Belenenses Academy (Portugal), Legia Warszawa Academy (Poland) and Sporting Clube De Portugal Academy (Portugal).

He is a graduate of the prestigious postgraduate program Master of Business Administration (MBA) – Sports Management at the Maastricht School of Management. He has undergone coaching lessons in clubs like – Southampton FC (England), Sport Lisboa e Benfica (Portugal), VfL Wolfsburg (Germany) and Sporting Clube de Portugal (Portugal).

Tchórz has authored two books related to football : Tactical Periodization – The Logic From Another World and Growing Up In The Game – Comprehensive Development Of The Player.

While talking with the club website the directors of Mohun Bagan F.C., Debashish Dutta and Srinjoy Bose explained “As soon as we got Kibu Vicuña finalized as the head coach, we were working with him tirelessly to put together a team of technical staff who can take Mohun Bagan to new horizon. We were mostly looking for experienced professionals with latest technical knowledge and fresh ideas to guide our footballers in the right direction. Tomasz fits the profile and he is very much familiar with the style of Kibu Vicuña. Therefore, there was no point delaying the deal.”

He will be in Kolkata tentatively with other members of the technical staff in last week of June and will take charge of the first team.

The head coach Kibu is also happy with the appointment of Tchórz and Ranjan Chowdhury as assistant coaches. He looks forward to work with them and bring success to Mohun Bagan.
