Transfer News: Mohammedan Sporting in advanced talks with Mohun Bagan’s star foreigner

Darryl Duffy
Kolkata: Mohammedan Sporting has been continuing to rule this season’s transfer market as they have now offered Mohun Bagan’s star Scottish forward Darryl Duffy for the forthcoming season. The Scottish goal-machine had been in lethal form in the recently concluded season. If he signs for the Mohammedan side, it will no doubt be a huge boost for the attacking force.

In an interaction with www.xtratime.in , Mohammedan Sporting’s senior footballer and MLA Dipendu Biswas said, “Yes we have spoken with Duffy and offered him a contract. Now lets see how it goes. We are focused to build a strong team this season for our fans.”

Along with Duffy, the Mohammedan officials are also in talks with class players like Didika Ralte, Cavin Lobo, Gurwinder Singhm Adil Khan and Shilton Paul who have told the officials to wait till the all important meeting at Kuala Lumpur on 7th June.

The sources revealed that East Bengal too are planning to rope on Mohun Bagan coach Sanjoy Sen as they have starting taking with Sanjoy’s favourite players like Pritam Kotal, Debjit Majumder and Prabir Das. If Sanjoy becomes the East Bengal coach, they might rope on star Brazilian physio Djair Miranda Garcia as well from their arch rivals.

Mohammedan Sporting officials are in advanced talks with star forward Ashim Biswas as well. If rumours to be believed then, Ranti Martins might come back to Kolkata again as Mohun Bagan seemed to have shown interest for him.
