Xtra Time Web Desk: Indian pacer Mohammed Shami has set a perfect example for spirit of cricket. The Bengal speedster recently shared his valuable experience of playing with the pink ball to his Bangladesh counterpart Abu Jayed ahead of the Day Night test match at Eden Gardens starting from November 22.

Shami along with Wriddhiman Saha are the only two cricketers in the current test squad that has played a game with pink ball. Both Shami and Saha played a club match at the Eden Gardens last year.

Jayed, who was the most successful bowler for Bangladesh in the recently concluded test match at Indore found time to take tips from Shami. Both of them interacted with each during the team’s training session with pink ball under lights at the Holkar stadium.

In a bid to improve even further, the 26-year-old Jayed sought advice from Shami, who stood out as India’s best bowler in the first Test, with returns of 3/27 and 4/31 from two innings.

“I spoke with [Mohammad] Shami bhai yesterday (Saturday). There are some similarities between him and me since we both use the seam. I have seen him bowl a lot of times and I paid extra attention to how he was bowling. I have compared his height to mine to find out if he is taller than me or of equal height. Then I figured maybe I could bowl like him,” he was quoted as saying by the ICC.

The Bangladesh right-arm pacer picked up four wickets, including those of Virat Kohli and Cheteshwar Pujara, during India’s innings of 493/6.
