XtraTime Web Desk: Former World Cup winning coach of Sri Lanka, Dav Whatmore is set to be appointed the Head Coach of the Baroda Ranji Trophy team for next season. The Australian had coached the 1996 World Cup winning Sri Lankan team. It is learnt Whatmore will be appointed for the next two seasons. He will also enjoy the role of Cricket Director at the Baroda Cricket Association. With Pandit already committing himself to the coaching role of Madhya Pradesh, the BCA decided to appoint Whatmore. He will be Baroda's first foreign coach. The former Kolkata Knight Riders coach was with the Kerala Ranji Trophy team last few seasons and took the team to the semifinals in 2019.
