Internet Desk: There has been a long gossip regarding relationship between Gautam Gambhir and India’s limited overs captain MS Dhoni. Some critics evan says that Dhoni was the main reason behind Gambhir’s exit from the national team.
During his first Facebook live on social network, Gambhir has explained his thoughts regarding MS Dhoni.
Answering about the subject to a fan, Gautam said, “ There’s no rivalry between me and Dhoni. I feel whenever we’ve played for India, irrespective of the difference of opinions we’ve had, the ultimate aim to make the country proud and try and make our country win.
Till the time your goal is to make your country, I don’t think there will ever be any differences. I think he’s a fantastic player, a fantastic human being. We’ve had our best moments of our life together, whether it’s winning the World T20 in 2007 or the World Cup in 2011, being No 1 Test side in the world.”
Gambhir reply clears all the doubts of any possible split with Dhoni despite there are many tittle-tattle that Mahi was the main reason in Gautam and Virender Sehwag’s exit from the Indian team.
Dhoni has put all his focus only on ODIs and T20Is, but he has not been out of the news.
Few day ago, former BCCI chief selector Dilip Vengsarkar had questioned his measures to keep match-fitness intact considering he no longer players Tests or First Class cricket.
Dhoni, who might play for India A ahead of the start of ODI series, did respond saying he is working on his fitness in the gym.
