XtraTime Web Desk: Swashbuckling West Indies opener Chris Gayle took to twitter to voice his protest against the death of black American George Floyd who was strangled to death by a white police officer in Minneapolis on May 25. The Universe Boss condemned racism that has been the biggest enemy of mankind. The Jamaican stood beside the black people of the world in condemning the horrific incident in Minnesota that rocked the entire world.

Gayle posted a message on his social media handle twitter, which read, “Black lives matter just like any other life. Black people matter, p***k all racist people, stop taking black people for fools, even our own black people wise tha p***k up and stop bringing down your own! I have travelled the globe and experience racial remarks towards me because I am black, believe me, the list goes on. Racism is not only in football, it’s in cricket too. Even within teams as a black man, I get the end of the stick. Black and powerful. Black and proud.”

Floyd died Monday after a Derek Chauvin, a white Minneapolis police officer, pressed his knee on Floyd’s neck. The entire world has condemned such a brutal act as online protests are being carried out in most parts of US.

There is racism in cricket too, tweets Chris Gayle
