XtraTime Web Desk: Indian cricket team’s star pacer Ishant Sharma revealed that the visitors are very much motivated to win a test series for the first time on Australian soil when he met the press before India’s practice game against against Cricket Australia (CA) XI at The Sydney Cricket Ground. "The side is pretty motivated to win the away series. We are not even thinking about our personal performances at this stage. Our sole focus is to win the series," said Sharma on the eve of the match. Though Ishant replicated his skipper Virat Kohli’s comments as he told that the World No.1 test side won’t take Australia lightly. “To be very honest, we don’t think about all these things,” he said. “It always depends on a given day. We know in cricket whoever is playing for their country are good enough. We don’t take anyone or anything lightly until we get the results.” Last time when the two sides faced each other the fans witnessed the tussle between Ishant and banned Aussie cricketer Steve Smith. They both tried to mock themselves with weird faces. On being asked whether the fans can get to see the same thing with other Aussie cricketers, Sharma replied,” "It's very difficult to say. I will get a better idea about the faces to be made as the Test series kicks off." India will take on Australia in the first test of the four-match Test series at Adelaide on December 6. India have five pace bowlers in their squad – Ishant, Mohammed Shami, Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Jasprit Bumrah and Umesh Yadav. Asked about the competition within the Indian squad for spots in the playing XI, Ishant said it’s a “great opportunity” for everyone because “you have a healthy competition in the team”. Asked if the Indian pacers are targeting any particular Australian batsmen, Ishant said, “We are not focussing on any particular batsman. We want to get everyone out.” An Aussie journo asked Ishant that don’t he think the batsmen of the home side are quite inexperienced compared to the Indian batsmen, the Delhi pacer replied, “I never think too much about all these things. If you go with this kind of feeling, you relax a bit. It’s always better to be on your toes all the time and be ready for opportunities when you hit the ground.” https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=goTK5fog73Q
