XtraTime Web Desk- The 2020-21 season of I-League will be starting from 9th of January, 2021. With 11 teams participating this year, no doubt it’ll again be a very competitive tournament.
Tiddim Road Athletic Union, Churchill Brothers, Real Kashmir, Indian Arrows, Aizawl FC, Sudeva FC, Gokulam Kerala, Punjab FC, Mohammedan Sporting, Chennai City FC and Neroca FC are the to eleven teams that will fight for the prestigious I-League trophy.
The long tournament will start with 3 matches on the opening day as Sudeva FC will be taking on Mohammedan FC at Salt Lake Stadium at 2pm. While Punjab will take on Aizawl at Kalyani on 4 pm and Gokulam Kerala will compete against Chennai City FC at Kalyani from 7 pm.
The entire tournament will be taking place in West Bengal. Salt Lake Stadium, Kalyani Stadium and Kishore Bharati Krirangan will be in-charge of organizing all the matches.
Just like ISL, I-League will also be conducted keeping in mind the Covid-19 protocols. All the players will be in the bio-bubble along with their coaches and staffs.
The schedule has been announced till round 10, that is till February 24.
With Mohun Bagan and East Bengal are not participating in this year’s I-League, will I-League’s standard be up to the mark? It’ll start answering all the questions from 9th of January.
