The match between Churchill Brothers and Mohammedan Sporting ended in a goalless draw

XtraTime Web Desk – A tough second fixture for both the teams as both the heavyweight giants collided at Kalyani Municipal Stadium and the match ended in a goalless draw.

Mohammedan coach was in a lot of pressure as the management is not happy with his vision. He badly needed 3 points today which he eventually failed. Churchill started well. They kept the possession but Mohammedan soon bounced back. The match went pretty intense from that point as both the teams looked to take control of the match. Sanjib Ghosh got an easy opportunity at the 7th minute but the midfielder failed to capitalize.

Clayvin Bernardez who scored a hattrick for Churchill in the last match was beautifully handled by Mohammedan defence. Mohammedan increased their number of midfielders and stretched their area as they were heavily using their wingers to create an opportunity. The battle in the midfield continued for majority of the match as the referee called fotr half-time.

Churchill got a golden opportunity in the early minutes of the second half but Mohammedan kept the danger away. Mohammedan played counter attacking football in the second half but failed to make any good chance. As the match was coming towards the end, both the teams looked to go for a draw and secure a point, which they eventually did. Thus, the match ended 0-0. Both the teams however has 4 points from 2 games and are 1st and 2nd boy of the league. Churchill are ahead of Mohammedan because of the goal difference.
