The AIFF comes up with a significant update regarding the Super Cup

Kolkata: The AIFF has finally made it clear to the I-League clubs that the request to reschedule the Super Cup Qualifiers is not possible.

In an interaction with xtratime.in , Minerva Punjab owner Ranjit Bajaj said, “The AIFF has thanked the clubs for responding to participate in the Super Cup. But they won’t reschedule the qualifiers. Thus we all have decided not to play in it.”

Bajaj also told, “The AIFF changes the rules as per their own preference. If they continue to do such things, we are getting ready to go to The CoA of The FIFA and will request them to take the necessary steps.” He added, “The clubs in The USA have done similar things against MAL and The FIFA President have asked the body to listen to the clubs to start promotion and relegation, else the league will be banned.”

He also clarified, “The three clubs who sacrificed themselves by not playing Super Cup, have got the support from the other clubs of the I-League and our decision is that none of us would be plating the Super Cup without the rescheduling of the qualification matches.”
