The Indian cricket team’s return home with the ICC trophy was marked by a grand open-bus parade that filled the hearts of millions of fans and celebrities alike with pride. Shah Rukh Khan, known for his passionate love for cricket, couldn't contain his excitement and shared his sentiments on social media.

On Thursday, 4th July, Mumbai witnessed an electrifying atmosphere as the victorious Indian cricket team, along with its support staff and BCCI officials, celebrated their World Cup triumph. The parade commenced with a slow crawl of the team bus through the iconic Marine Drive, allowing fans to catch a glimpse of their cricketing heroes. The excitement was palpable as fans thronged the streets, cheering and waving flags in a show of unwavering support.

 

Shah Rukh Khan took to his official Twitter account to share his elation. He hailed the team for their incredible effort, stating, "Seeing the boys so happy and emotional fills my heart with pride. As Indians, this is such an amazing moment - to see our boys take us to such great heights! Love you all, my Team India, and now dance away all night long. Boys in Blue, take away all the blues! The celebrations reached their zenith inside the Wankhede Stadium, a venue with a rich history in Indian cricket. It was at this very stadium that India had won the ODI World Cup title in 2011 under the captaincy of MS Dhoni. The open-bus parade and subsequent victory lap at Wankhede were a fitting tribute to the team’s phenomenal journey and success.

Led by stalwarts Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli, the Indian team basked in the adulation of thousands of fans gathered at the stadium. The players, including the likes of Rahul Dravid, Rohit Sharma, and Suryakumar Yadav, celebrated with abandon.
