Internet Desk: Journey of India’s new Head Coach started last mid-night as team India left for their upcoming test series against West Indies. The sixteen players’ team led by Virat Kohli will be playing the Caribbean Islands after five years.

India has a great hope on the new team under the coaching of former Indian spinner Anil Kumble. Already there is huge difference in the world ranking between India and West Indies. West Indies is at the 8th position of the ICC Test ranking while India is in 2nd position.

India will be playing a series of four test matches against West Indies. Before the series they will play a two-day practice match and a three-day warm up match too.

Five years’ ago India played Test Series against West Indies on their soil where India won the series by 1-0. The first match was won by team India led by M.S. Dhoni. The other two matches were drawn. Two years later the Caribbean team visited India in 2013 which was the farewell series of Legend Sachin Tendulkar and they had to face a whitewash.

Ahead of this series in West Indies Anil Kumble was appointed as India’s head coach. However, among the rest of the players a bunch of players are new to West Indian soil. Captain of team India, Virat Kohli is going to play his second test series on the soil of West Indies. He had his debut series in West Indies where he could not make a mark as a batsman. So this time it will be his challenge as a batsman to perform good for his country.

The Men in Bluie had a healthy preparatory camp in the N.C.A before departing for West Indies where both batsmen and bowlers tried out their skills in the nets under the watchful eyes of coach Anil Kumble.

India will start their campaign with the first test match at Sir Vivian Richards Stadium in Antigua from July 21 to 25. As per news last received Kohli and Co, have landed on Gatwick Airport and now they are on their way to St.Kitts where they are scheduled to play the first warm-up match.
