Xtra Time Web Desk : A fine of 40 percent have been imposed on India of their match fee for slow over-rate during the 3rd ODI of a 3-match series against India at the Newlands in Cape Town on Sunday.

In accordance with Article 2.22 of the ICC Code of Conduct for Players and Player Support Personnel, which relates to minimum over-rate offences, players are fined 20 per cent of their match fee for every over their side fails to bowl in the allotted time.

KL Rahul had pleaded guilty to the remark and accepted the proposed sanction, so there was no need for a formal hearing. On-field umpires Marais Erasmus and Bongani Jele, third umpire Allauhudien Palekar and fourth umpire Adrien Holdstock agreed on the charge.

Quinton de Kock scored a a magnificent century as South Africa completed a clean sweep of their three-match one-day international series against India with a four-run victory at Newlands on Sunday.

India won the toss and elected to bowl in the first innings and restricted South Africa to 287 all out one ball shy of the 50 overs, but the visitors narrowly failed in their chase as they managed 283 with four balls left in the innings
