Xtra Time Web Desk : Legendary Australian off spinner Shane Warne passed away on Friday, March 4 because of a suspected heart attack. The 52 year old who was considered to be one of the greatest spinners of all time, had more than 700 Test wickets and 250 ODI wickets to his name.

And here are some of the greatest moments in his glittering cricket career :

Colombo Comeback, 1992 : Shane Warne weaved his magic on the field of Colombo stadium back in 1992. Sri Lanka needed just 181 runs to win and were 127/2 at one stage. But then, the leg spinner spun his magic web to bundle out his opponents with 3 wickets in the last 13 balls.

Ball of the century, 1993 : The legendary leggie from Australia had some illustrious moments in his career. But this was perhaps the greatest. Warne's first ball on English soil, which is also known as the ball of the century, turned from leg stump to knock out the off stump of Mike Gatting, which left the batter speechless.

World Cup, 1999 : Warne proved his greatness on the stage of world cup, courtesy of his 4/29 against South Africa in the semi final, which included 3 wickets in his first over alongside his 4/33 against Pakistan in the final.

Ashes, 2005 : Arguably, the greatest spinner of all time, Warne fully stood up to the expectation of this tag and took 40 wickets in the 5 match Ashes series with an average of 19.92. This is indeed the greatest show by a bowler in the Ashes.

700th Test Wicket, 2006 : The 2006-07 Ashes was a memorable one for the magician Warne as he completed 700 Test wickets in the 4th Test of the series, which was also the Boxing day Test. Andrews Strauss was Warnie's 700th scalp.
