Xtra Time Web Desk: Ishan Kishan played a brilliant 46 ball 70* while KL Rahul scored an elegant fifty (51 off 34) to give India a convincing seven wickets win over England in its first warm up game of T20 World Cup 2021 in Dubai. Chasing 189 runs to win the Men in Blue reached home with an over to spare.

Rahul’s knock was studded with three sixes and six fours as he sealed the opening slot along with Rohit Sharma. Earlier at the toss India captain Virat Kohli did mention that Rahul will partner Rohit at the top.

Kishan, who was retired hurt plundered three sixes and seven boundaries to give an option for the team management at the top.

In a game where result was secondary, Rahul's batting will definitely please the team management.

India in the first game ticked some boxes that includes two senior pacers Jasprit Bumrah (1/26) and Mohammed Shami (3/40) hitting the straps straightaway with some fast and accurate deliveries. Bumrah unleashed a lethal yorker to Jonny Bairstow (49 off 36) to rattle the stumps.

However, there will be slight concern with the form of Bhuvneshwar Kumar as he gave away 54 runs in four overs. Suryakumar too looked a nit scratchy during his brief stay in the middle. Kohli (11) too didn't score much but that would be least of concerns for the Indian team.

Indian team management rested Rohit Sharma, Ravindra Jadeja and Varun Chakravarthy.
