Xtra Time Web Desk: The participation of New Zealand cricketers in the rescheduled matches of the suspended IPL 2021 looks to be in serious doubts. New Zealand Cricket Board will adopt the same approach as England and Wales Cricket Board, making it mandatory for the contracted cricketers to make themselves available for national duty. This will mean the availability of BlackCaps players like Kane Williamson, Trent Boult, Micthell Santner, Lockie Fergusson will be in serious doubts as and when the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) decides to reschedule the suspended matches of IPL 2021.

New Zealand is scheduled to play Pakistan in UAE during September as per the Future Tours Programme. The BlackCaps will play three ODIs and T20Is respectively.

BCCI has been mulling over a possible September window for IPL 2021 remaining matches following the conclusion of the 5-match Test series between India and England. BCCI is of the view that the September window can be used to complete the remaining matches of the 14th edition of the league. But during the same time, most of the cricket playing nations will be busy fulfilling their FTP commitments.

Among the Kiwi players who could miss rescheduled IPL 2021 matches are Kane Williamson (SRH), Adam Milne (MI), Trent Boult (MI), Mitchell Santner (CSK), Lockie Ferguson (KKR), Tim Seifert (KKR), Finn Allen (RCB), Kyle Jamieson (RCB)
