Supersub Liston Colaco’s brace helped Hyderabad FC beat NorthEast United 4-2

XtraTime Web Desk – Another magical night at Vasco as Hyderabad FC took on NorthEast United. It was a classic thriller as Liston Colaco’s brace did the job for Hyderabad FC.

Hyderabad started really strong. Joel Chianese did a lot of work to put a the ball in Aridane’s feet who scored easily from a tap-in and Hyderabad went 1-0 up against the highlanders in the 3rd minute of the match. NorthEast wasn’t quite thogh. They played attacking football and at 15th minute, Machado’s long range effort hit the bar and denied NorthEast from an equalizer. After both the teams tried to play their natural game for the next 20 minutes, Hyderabad scored their second goal of the night as Joel Chianese’s brilliant placement helped them go 2-0 up.

It wasn’t all. When everyone thought that the half will end 2-0 in favour of the nawabs but just before the break, NorthEast puled one back from a penalty. Fede Gallego made no mistake as he converted from the spot-kick. That wasn’t all as well. Benjamin Lambot scored the goal that brought NorthEast United in level terms once again. After a couple of goal in quick succession, NorthEast were in a much better place as the half ended 2-2.

The second half was tight right from the start. Both the teams didn’t want to give any space to the opposition but some great chances were created. The chances that were created were either blocked or cleared well. Machado got an easy opportunity but he failed to keep the shot on target and in the 60th minute, his shot was brilliantly saved by Kattimani. Then, Liston Colaco came in the 64th minute and the match changed for Hyderabad FC. He scored first in the 85th minute and then again in the 94th minute to seal the deal for Hyderabad. The 22 year old, changed the game for the nawabs and halped them get all 3 points.

With this win, Hyderabad are now 3rd in the table with 15 points from 10 games while NorthEast United in the 7th position with 11 [points from 10 games.
